Description
This comprehensive basement and bar transformation in Chantilly, VA, demonstrates our firm's expertise in specialized masonry and custom millwork. The project began with a structural assessment to support the weight of the natural stone wall and the unique backlit stone facade of the bar. We executed a full mechanical update, including the relocation of plumbing and electrical lines to support a professional beverage center equipped with a dual-tap kegerator and high-capacity wine refrigeration. A primary technical focus was the precision installation of dark-stained shaker cabinetry and the integration of floating wood shelves with recessed LED lighting. The stone work involved hand-laying a split-face natural stone backsplash, requiring meticulous cuts to accommodate outlets and shelving mounts. We installed a custom-fabricated dark countertop and a matte black professional-style faucet, ensuring all fixtures meet industrial-grade performance standards. Strategic electrical upgrades were performed to manage the ambient lighting for the backlit bar front and the task lighting for the work zones. The result is a highly functional social hub that bridges rugged natural textures with high-precision engineering, providing a durable and aesthetically unique addition to the home's floor plan.
