Description
This massive master bathroom transformation in the heart of Washington, D.C., represents a total structural, mechanical, and aesthetic overhaul. Our firm managed every technical aspect of the renovation, beginning with a complete gut demolition and the installation of new structural framing to support an open-concept layout. The project involved a complex mechanical update, including the relocation of primary plumbing and electrical lines to support a high-performance rainfall shower, dual body sprays, and a wall-mounted tub filler. A primary technical focus was the masonry work, which included the precision installation of large-format marble-look porcelain wall panels and vertical wood-slat accent tiles, requiring expert leveling and advanced waterproofing systems. We engineered a reinforced wall structure to accommodate a modern floating oak vanity and integrated a custom-fabricated quartz countertop with a designer glass vessel sink. The renovation features a professional-grade walk-in shower with a frameless glass enclosure, a low-profile linear drain, and dual recessed niches with architectural metal edging. Strategic electrical upgrades, including a recessed LED-backlit mirror and updated task lighting, create a bright, luxury ambiance throughout. The result is a high-performance, organic-modern sanctuary that successfully bridges high-end design with industrial-grade durability, providing a long-term increase in the property's architectural and market appeal in the District.
